Agent Walsh was undercover as a veteran when he was spying on Forest Bluffs.
But when I read it I'd assumed that he was a vet who THEN became a fed.
Everything about him says 'veteran'. So IS he a real vet turned fed, or just a good undercover agent?

Ha, good question. He was so convincing as a veteran (okay, now all veterans come tell me I'm stereotyping). Rephrase. He had a hardened core and he wasn't mesmerized by Joey in the bar, and Shep said something about his soul being lost (don't remember the words exactly). It seems very likely that he was a vet turned Fed. And saying that makes me feel like I'm taking an author's characters out to play, away from her watchful eye. Adrienne???

This is funny. No, Walsh wasn't really a Vet. They just set him up in that house to look like sort of a crackers war Vet with guns all over the place. It worked for him in regards to what he had to do and it was an excuse for being there if he got caught.
